Charles Carraway

Mississippi artist Charles Carraway paints impeccable interior scenes with such intense realism they border on the metaphysical. Mystery and quietude are revealed within otherwise ordinary spaces. A graduate of Delta State and RISD, Carraway is currently a professor at the Jackson State University art department. He has had numerous solo exhibitions as well as inclusion in the 2017 Mississippi Invitational, a biennial exhibition that features premiere contemporary artists practicing in the state.
