Peyton Hutchinson
“As a painter, my greatest challenge is to try to depict all of the gorgeous colors of the landscape. Therefore, I consider myself a colorist of contemporary landscapes.
I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and also studies at the Rhode Island School of Design. During college, I ventured to the Marchutz School of Art in Aix en Provence, France where I fell madly in love with painting natural landscapes plein air. That's also where I discovered my new best friend, the palette knife!
I live and work from my studio in Madison, Mississippi with my husband, Burney, our three children and two pups. Locally, I have studied with renowned artists Jere Allen, Greg Cartmell, and Bob Tompkins. I also studied impressionism with Italian artist Jerry Fresia, and Californian artist Camille Prezwodek.”
